Candy’s arrival in my life was a great joy for me and my family.
Candy, as a great cane corso that she is, is a spectacle for all those who know her or simply come across her.
When Candy was 3 months old and we went for a walk, everyone was amazed when she observed the size of her legs. She was very sociable and friendly, she loved to contact all the dogs and people that we met during our walks.
I wished for my cane corso the best job of socialization possible, for this, every day, for several months, I took her to a kindergarten. It was a beautiful place, in the forest, where all the dogs played and there was no cage; the only rule was that they must wear a necklace. This “nursery” was very well prepared. They had different play areas for the different sizes and energy levels of the dogs. They also allowed me to feed Candy with her Barf diet.
The first day I got to kindergarten it was a show. The owners of the other pets feared that, given the large size that Candy already had at 5 months, it could harm their dogs, but they could not put her with the adults either because at heart she was a puppy.
Within a few days, the caregivers adored Candy. They told me that she was super affectionate and obedient to them and that she really enjoyed the games. At first, she was a bit excessive in her game with the other puppies, but little by little, she adapted the intensity of the game to her partner.
The caretakers already called him “Super Candy” because of his strength, nobility and goodness.
Candy was very good with all the dogs that were in the “kindergarten”, she never gave any problem.
I remember one day when I went looking for her and I heard how the owner of a Yorkshire woman complained that her dog was resting on the same mat as Candy. In case she could attack her little dog. On the contrary, they told her that the cane corso has an extraordinary character, that she was a very obedient dog.
Candy is now 3 years old. She is much calmer in the game but still enjoys long walks.
He no longer wants to play with people he does not know or with the dogs he meets on the walk.
She is now a obedient and protective balanced dog.
When we walk in the morning he is relaxed, but if we go out at night, he becomes a real back guard. He puts himself ahead of any danger that may be, he is fully alert from the time he leaves until he returns home. Suspicion of anyone who may be unemployed and much more if someone follows us. She is very intimidating with her attitude and her presence, doing absolutely nothing.
I’m sure that Candy has once avoided some very unpleasant situation.
