My friend Mariano has spent a whole year watching and studying the Italian Mastiff lines because he wants one. So, he goes to a responsible kennel to get one, where they show him a male, a spectacular puppy, with a wonderful and beastly character. And when I ask him, “Did you get it Mariano,” he tells me, “No, I didn’t get it, because I have the little thing that it’s the only one there is, it’s the last one, and that’s why I don’t want it. And then, I tell him; but Mariano, you don’t know that it doesn’t work like that, when a responsible breeder understands that he has to keep a dog, he always keeps the ones that are phenotypically the best, so, normally the last ones are always the best in case the breeder or the seller has to keep that dog. In addition, many times in the elections, if there are four males, what they do is, in case there is someone who pays more because he wants to compete, wants something special or has a whim, then they let him choose, but that has another price. That’s why the last one, normally, is the best, as you know, Mariano.
