Cane corso dogs are not omnivores, but neither are they strict carnivores. Due to their ability to metabolise different foods, their diet has to be very varied, healthy and natural in order for the cane corso diet to be adequate.
In our kennel we do not feed them with processed feed, we only give them natural products BARF DIET.
Our puppies at birth are fed only with their mother’s milk, until they are weaned, and then we provide them with animal protein.
In addition to animal protein, there are super healthy foods that you can feed your dog.
Very healthy food for your pet
1. Yoghurt
As a food containing active bacterial cultures, it contributes to maintaining the health of your Cane Corso intestinal flora as a puppy and in adulthood. It has healthy nutrients and minerals such as calcium, potassium, phosphorus and magnesium.
The introduction of yoghurt to your dog’s diet should be gradual. It is best to buy plain yoghurt with NO SUGARS added as this element is not good for your dog.
2. Salmon, tuna and sardines
Fish rich in Omega 3 acids are very beneficial for the canine organism. It helps to improve their skin and coat, making them look much shinier. These foods are highly recommended, as in addition to being rich in Omega 3, they also strengthen the dog’s immune system and have a high amount of protein and vitamins.
3. Carrot
Carrots help your dog to digest well and stay hydrated, as 88% of carrots are made up of water.
It is a source of carbohydrates for extra energy during the day.
Among its benefits, it is known to have detoxifying and cleansing effects. It helps to eliminate residual acids from the blood, such as uric acid, as it is an alkalising food.
This food can be added to your daily diet without any problem!
