There is a very important question that many people often ask, and it is this: Do pet breeders traffic in the lives of animals and profit from them?
First of all, the word “trafficking,” as you may know, refers to an illegal activity. For example, when you are selling loaves of bread, you are not trafficking bread, you are selling it because it is legal and can be done. When you are selling marijuana, you are dealing marijuana, because it is illegal. So the difference is there, when an activity is legal or illegal. Sometimes we use the words we are most interested in or in the most convenient way to make it sound worse and thus give it a wrong connotation in order to harm.
On the other hand, it is often said that we profit from the lives of animals, and, obviously, that is not so. We have talked about it many times on YouTube, the story of Juanma Morato. I have begged in the dumpsters when things were not going well for me and they told me to do something else. Then I thought, I like to raise, I think it’s the most beautiful thing in the world. Not even in five lifetimes is anyone going to give me lessons on what it means to give love to my puppies and my children. And why should I dedicate myself to something else? Of course I don’t. That’s why there’s a thing called the welfare state. You have to feed and water them all, and you have to pay taxes on top of that. If it were up to us, we would do it for free because we are vocational, but we have to pay taxes, so we have to put a price on animals. This is very sad, but when things do not cost you money, society does not give them value.
In line with the issue of taxes, we believe that all the tax that is collected and that comes from the animal sector, no matter if they are dogs, a farm… everything that comes from this sector should have repercussions in changing and solving the problems that exist in the world of animals, for example, in the abandonment.
And, for the people who say that we traffic with lives and we profit with animals, we work and live for the animals. I don’t know if it happens at home, to those of you who have dogs or animals, but our dogs have the bad habit that they like to eat every day and well. They like to have everything clean, picked up and disinfected. Every day we brush them, pet them, give them a routine bath? They love all these kinds of things, and that’s why we have to be here every day to do all the chores, because if we don’t do them, no one else will, and they deserve it.
